We are pleased to share that, since the beginning of this year, ARRO has helped our clients secure an impressive $23,600,000 in grant funding and low interest loans for 2024.
This funding comes from diverse sources like the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), the Lancaster Clean Water Fund, and PennVest—and spans projects including water systems, park enhancements, and roadway improvements.
These vital funds will benefit communities across our service territory. A highlight of some recent awards from the last few months includes:
- $9,815,000 granted to Telford Borough Authority (Pennsylvania) for a Granular Activated Carbon Treatment System to remove PFAS
- $4,609,310 granted to Town of Thurmont (Maryland) for Wells 7 & 8 PFAS Treatment
- $2,050,000 low-interest loan awarded to Montgomery Township Municipal Sewer Authority (Pennsylvania) to replace old aerators and blowers for the existing equalization tank, as well as replace old wiring for half of the Eureka Plant
- $1,565,950 granted to City of Taneytown (Maryland) for PFAS removal projects
We are proud to support our clients in securing these crucial funds that empower them to enhance their communities. We look forward to seeing their projects come to life and extend our sincere congratulations to all the grant recipients on their well-deserved success!
